Hushpuppi: Nigerians Unfair to Abba Kyari, Group Alleges……Says Crime Fighting Back

Must read

A non-governmental organization, Morality and Conscience has taken a swipe on Nigerians over what it described as an unfair treatment of embattled Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari.

National Coordinator of the group, Famous Babatunde made the position of the group known to newsmen in Abuja, Monday afternoon.

According to him, “Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari is a big issue to criminals in Nigeria. He has made the country hell for criminals in the country. Wherever things get tough for the law enforcement agencies, Abba Kyari will be drafted to the place with his men and they have always delivered. The name, Abba Kyari has become synonymous with crime fighting in Nigeria. He has made huge sacrifices and deserve to be shown love by all Nigerians.”

Continuing, Babatunde argued that the approach taken by Nigerians on the issue of Hushpuppi was unfortunate, insisting that Kyari deserves better treatment and understanding from Nigerians.

He called on the Inspector General of Police to thread with caution on the matter in order not to show bad examples capable of discouraging hard work in the Police system.

Babatunde however blamed Abba Kyari’s ordeal on what he described as “unseen hands that see Abba Kyari as an obstacle to their criminal enterprise.”

“Some unseen hands are responsible for this. Some high-profile criminal elements are fueling this. They want to bring him down by all means. Nigerians must look beyond the surface to see the main issues. The Nigerian Police must be careful in order not to hurt itself badly. Hushpuppi was not a suspect, as at the time of his communications with Abba Kyari.”
