Serie A: Napoli president confident Osimhen will sign new contract

Aurelio de Laurentiis, the president of Napoli, is optimistic that Victor Osimhen will commit to a new contract with the club.
Osimhen had been in negotiations with the Serie A champions regarding a contract extension during the summer. However, a recent incident involving a TikTok video posted by Napoli that made fun of Osimhen for missing a penalty in the club’s 0-0 draw against Bologna left the Nigeria international upset. Napoli issued a statement in response to the incident but faced criticism for not apologizing to their star striker.
There have been speculations that Osimhen might leave the club in January or the following summer. Nevertheless, De Laurentiis has dismissed such reports, suggesting that the player will continue to be a part of Napoli at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona.
“Victor always remains strong. He is a player who has the ability to carry a team on his shoulders. His position in the team is not in doubt,” De Laurentiis stated during an interview with Chiringuito TV via Eurosport. He also indicated that Osimhen is likely to renew his contract because the players at Napoli are content, and their sadness usually arises when they depart.
As of now, the 24-year-old has two years left on his existing contract.

Neymar, Biancardi split weeks after welcoming first child

Al-Hilal forward Neymar and influencer Bruna Biancardi have officially ended their relationship. This decision comes a few weeks after they celebrated the birth of their first child, Mavie, born on October 7. Despite the initial joy surrounding the expansion of their family, rumors about the status of their relationship began circulating, with speculation about Neymar’s alleged infidelity.
Addressing these rumors on her Instagram story, Biancardi stated, “This is a private matter, but since I am often associated with news, suspicions, and jokes, I would like to inform you that I am not in a relationship. We are Mavie’s parents, and that is the reason for our relationship. I hope you won’t associate me with the news so often anymore. Thank you.”
This development follows earlier strains in their relationship, including compromising footage of Neymar partying with other women that emerged earlier this year.

Champions League: They’ve nothing – Mbappe criticises Newcastle Utd

Paris Saint-Germain’s captain, Kylian Mbappe, expressed dissatisfaction with Newcastle United following their 1-1 draw in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night in Paris. Mbappe asserted that Newcastle had little to offer and believed that PSG should have emerged victorious in the Champions League match.
Although Alexander Isak gave Newcastle the lead in the first half, the Premier League side couldn’t secure the win. Tino Livramento’s handball in injury time led to Mbappe equalizing from the penalty spot.
Despite PSG’s dominance with thirty-one attempts on goal, Newcastle United failed to register a shot on target after Isak’s opening goal in the 24th minute.
In his post-match interview, Mbappe criticized Newcastle’s approach to the game, stating, “It is frustrating because we dominated this team from start to finish. They have nothing. We knew it was their game to have nothing, but we had to finish our chances better. We had too many chances for a Champions League match. It’s not the structure or the organisation; it’s us, the players. We need to be much more diligent in front of goal.”

Onyekuru, who joined Saudi Arabia Pro League side Al-Feiha from Adana Demirspor in the summer, has showcased his versatility with three goals and two assists in 14 appearances this season. Expressing optimism about his chances, Onyekuru aims to impress Nigeria’s head coach, Jose Peseiro, and earn a place in the squad for the Cote d’Ivoire 2023 tournament.
