The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State has expressed its disagreement with the Appeal Court’s ruling on the state’s gubernatorial election and has declared its intention to contest the decision in the highest court.

In a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary, Barrister Valentine Onojeghuo, the APC conveyed its confidence that the mandate bestowed upon it by the people of the state, who believe in the party’s commendable programs and the capability of its candidate, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, will be reinstated.

The party praised its legal team for their commendable efforts and asserted its optimism in securing a favorable judgment at the apex court, citing a robust legal case. While commending its members for their steadfastness, support, and loyalty, the APC urged them to remain calm and hopeful, assuring them that there is hope for a positive resolution.

The statement emphasized the belief that the allegedly stolen mandate would be restored, asserting that it’s only a matter of time. The APC categorically stated that the Appeal Court’s judgment would not withstand the test of time and expressed unwavering confidence in the Supreme Court’s ability to deliver justice in their case.
