Gunmen reportedly shot several individuals in a nightclub in Anambra, specifically in Oba, Idemili North Local Government Area. The incident took place at Porsche Nightclub on Sunday night. While details about the attackers remain unclear, a source named Chukwuemeka Ezefunamba stated that the gunmen initially intended to kidnap the club owner but faced resistance from the club’s security personnel.

In response, the attackers opened fire, resulting in the death of numerous people. Additionally, one of the security personnel who opposed them was reportedly beheaded. The Anambra State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, could not confirm the incident and pledged to investigate and provide updates.

This event follows a previous attack on another nightclub owner and renowned traditional healer, Akwa Okuko, in the same community a few months ago. Okuko allegedly surrendered to prevent potential harm, and there were rumors that he paid a substantial amount, over N400 million, for his release.
