Controversial actor Yul Edochie has asserted that he is not legally wedded to his second wife, Judy Austin. His statement comes in response to a lawsuit filed against him by his ex-wife, May Edochie, who accused him of adultery and initiated divorce proceedings.

Yul clarified to the court that his relationship with Judy Austin was solely centered around creating skits and did not constitute a legally recognized marriage. As reported by Premium Times, May Edochie’s legal team, led by Emeka Ugwuonye of Due Process Advocates, stated that the ongoing case at the FCT High Court, Abuja, scheduled for a hearing on March 5, encountered an unexpected delay, which Yul and Judy took credit for.

Ugwuonye mentioned that Yul asserted in his submission that the birth of Star in June 2021 triggered negative exploitation by Gistlover, a blog known for fabricating information for financial gain, regarding every movie or skit involving Yul and Judy, generating social media traffic for financial motives.

Additionally, May’s petition highlighted an alleged traditional marriage ceremony between Yul and Judy on April 24, 2022, in Anambra State. However, Yul refuted this claim, accusing a blog of disseminating false information for monetary gains.

Renowned musician David Adeleke, also known as Davido, recently asserted during an appearance on an American podcast, ‘Business Untitled,’ that his family plays a significant role in Nigeria’s energy sector by operating four power plants. According to him, these power plants make substantial contributions to Nigeria’s electricity supply.

In discussing his family’s business ventures and personal investments, Davido mentioned his brief foray into cryptocurrency due to its popularity in Nigeria. He also highlighted his family’s involvement in the energy sector, emphasizing their ownership of four lucrative power plants that distribute electricity across a considerable portion of Nigeria.

Additionally, Davido disclosed plans to venture into the restaurant business with his wife, who has a passion for culinary arts. However, he reiterated that his primary focus remains on his music career.

While Davido’s family boasts wealth and investments in the energy sector, some observers may dispute his claim that their power plants supply the majority of Nigeria’s energy needs. The Nigerian government owns most of the significant thermal and hydropower plants in the country.
