Rihanna has officially revealed that she is expecting her third child during her appearance at the Met Gala in New York City, one of the fashion world’s most prestigious events.
The 37-year-old singer and entrepreneur proudly showed off her baby bump while posing for photos on the red carpet. She attended the event with her partner, rapper A\$AP Rocky, with whom she already shares two sons.
A\$AP Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, expressed gratitude to well-wishers at the event, saying, “It’s time to show everyone what we’ve been working on.”
Rihanna was the final guest to arrive at the Met Gala, an annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. The gala also marks the debut of the museum’s latest fashion exhibition. This year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” focused solely on menswear for the first time since 2003.
As a co-chair of the event, A\$AP Rocky confirmed the pregnancy on the red carpet, adding, “We’re happy, and it’s great to see everyone else happy for us.”
The couple welcomed their first child, RZA, in May 2022, followed by their second son, Riot, in August 2023. Rihanna is known for her memorable pregnancy reveals—she introduced her first pregnancy in a Harlem photoshoot and announced her second during the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show.
She now joins a growing list of celebrities, including Serena Williams and Karlie Kloss, who have used the Met Gala as a platform for baby bump debuts.
