Rapper Ruggedman has reportedly been arrested by the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Panti.
According to reports, his detention is linked to an ongoing dispute with the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN).
Human rights advocate Harrison Gwamnishu revealed the development on Thursday via an Instagram post, alleging that Ruggedman is being mistreated by the police without due process.
“There has been no thorough investigation. He and others are facing mistreatment. I want to alert Nigerians to what is happening,” Harrison stated.
It will be recalled that in August 2024, PMAN suspended Ruggedman along with JFO Baba Ojonorgua, Sunny Neji, and Zaaki Azzay, citing allegations of misconduct.
