2027: Two ‘ADA’ among 110 political parties seeking registration with INEC

Two political groups bearing identical acronyms have submitted applications to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for registration.

The first group, led by Chief Akin Ricketts, is named the All Democratic Alliance (ADA) and appears as number 109 on INEC’s list.

The second group, Advanced Democratic Alliance—also abbreviated as ADA—is listed as number 110 and is the final entry on the list. It is chaired by Alhaji Ahmadu Suleiman, with Zipporah Pius Miracles serving as Secretary. Their national office is located at the Ground Floor, UAC Complex, Plot 273 Samuel Adesujo Ademulegun Street, Central Business District (CBD), Abuja.

In contrast, Ricketts’ ADA is headquartered at 1 Frandriance Close, Off Oda Crescent, Off Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja.

Altogether, at least 110 political associations have applied to INEC for registration as political parties in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
