The High Court in Lafia, Nasarawa State, has sentenced Oluwatimileyin Ajayi to death by hanging for the killing of Salome Adaidu, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member.
Ajayi was convicted on a single count of culpable homicide, which violates Section 221 of the Penal Code applicable in Northern Nigeria—a law that mandates the death penalty for such an offense.
Delivering the judgment, Justice Simon Aboki declared Ajayi guilty of the brutal murder and dismemberment of the victim.
