Man Utd confirms Van Nistelrooy’s exit as Amorim arrives in UK

Manchester United have announced Ruud van Nistelrooy’s departure from the club.

Van Nistelrooy stepped in as interim manager after Erik ten Hag was dismissed by the club. The statement, released on Monday, came just as new head coach Ruben Amorim arrived in the UK.

The statement read: “Manchester United can confirm Ruud van Nistelrooy has left the club. After rejoining this summer, Ruud led the team for four matches in his interim role.

“Ruud is, and will remain, a Manchester United legend. We thank him for his dedication and professionalism during his time with us, and he will always be warmly welcomed at Old Trafford.”
